Co-op Picture Day

Well, this year for picture day we waited until the very last co-op. But thankfully, we got it all done! Mom ran around with the camera for a long time, snapping portraits of us all. I have been assembling my yearbook page, and need a portrait. I have already chosen and put one on, but I thought if any of my followers (albeit nigh as inactive as I in the blogging world) would drop a comment and say which picture they think is best, I might end up changing it to the better one (as voted by majority.) If not, I (woot!) made another post! :) lol

Ladies' Banquet

This May for our annual Ladies' Banquet, Elizabeth, Emily, Victoria, and I decided to dress up in formal gowns for the dinner. As we homeschoolers have no prom, we decided we should use this as our time to dress up :) We spent much of the day getting ready, and had a blast! I did Aly's hair before leaving to join the three other girls at Elizabeth and Tori's household, and then gladly helped them take over the bathroom there with make-up, my curling iron, brushes, Jewelry, tiara, glitter, nail polish, Victoria's hairspray (which we used...well...all of), and lots and lots and lots of bobby pins. I went through all of mine, all of moms, and a good number of Elizabeth's pins. I was so proud of myself for doing my own hair and putting it up that I also did Emily and Elizabeth's hair. Even more importantly, they liked it ;) I would say we spent a good bit of the evening swishing around, trying to act graceful, running around in the heels, or smelling roses. Upon us getting up to eat, one little girl said, "Look Mommy! They're princesses!"

Shocking, I know, but we wanting a picture with the piano. Even more shocking, M and I were trying to play it while the pictures were being taken.

Jane Austen Bonnets

Yesterday we had yet another meeting with The Austen Sisters. We decorated bonnets or a hat, and it was quite enjoyable! Mama took some pictures, and though they will more than likely be posted on the Conversations with Jane blog, I wanted to post them here too :)

As you can see, some of us are...easily distracted. And quite easily amused, I daresay.

I have been working on my bonnet more today, and am actually pleased with how it is beginning to turn out! I shall have a picture when it is done :)

Also, note my music skirt in the above pictures! I made it myself, and am quite pleased that all the staff lined up! I love music notes!

Next Time Won't You Sing With Me?

For the first time in my blogging history (short history albeit) I have been tagged! Olivia tagged me with the ABC ... thing (for lack of a creative word) and now it is my turn! Thanks Olivia! Perchance I shall follow you in celebrating this tag annually *grin*

B. Bed size: Twin. (and lots of pillows) XD

C. Chore you hate: I don't have too many assigned chores *dodges random objects thrown at me* But I do not particular like to unload the dishwasher. But, in general, it is a tossup between doing dishes and running the vacuum. Thankfully, I have been spared those unappealing jobs.

D. Day: Um, 'tis Thursday. My favorite day of the week varies.

E. Essential start to your day: Hmm, probably getting something to drink :)

F. Favorite color: Blue (though I like purple a lot too, in case you didn't notice, lol)

G. Gold or silver: Silver! Definitely. It used to be my second favorite color, but I am now unsure if a metallic counts as a color.

H. Height: I'm not entirely sure. About 4'10'' 1/2

I. Instruments: PIANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J. Job title: Um...there must be something witty to put here... Ah well. When I finally start that Photography business with my mom, I'll have a title XD

K. Kids: I am a kid, don't have any of my own. But I have a cat!!!! :D

O. Overnight hospital stays: Thank God zero

P. Pet peeve: Oh, I don't know. I really don't like loud noises, bad smells, large crowds, bright lights, itchy clothes...but those are more sensory things than pet peeves

Q. Quote from a movie: Just quote Tangled. That about sums it up ;) Oh! And Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile. Then there is probably a Doctor Who quote or two or

five... ;) And don't forget the several Jane Austen quotes! X_X too many movie quotes total... XD

T. Time you wake up: About 9:00 ish

U. Underwear: Um, what about it....? O.o weird question I dare say.

V. Vegetables you dislike: *chuckles* I like most vegetables. I can't think of any I don't like...

W. What makes you run late: Parents and sister and sleepiness. I don't like to be late myself, though of course some times it is my fault if we are late. I just can't stand being late!

X. X-rays you've had: I believe only one. Maybe two though.

Y. Yummy food you make: Who knows. Not much XD Chocolate chip cookies I suppose ;)

Piano Keys

I had decided one day to try taking picture of our piano keys. I think some of them turned out nice, and as such, I Photoshoped these two :) The second one has a quote from a song I wrote (that still doesn't have music *sigh*) It's nice to Photoshop something knowing that I am using my own photography :)

Photoshop Names

So I have returned to the world of Photoshop. Granted, this doesn't surprise any of you who actually read my blog, but I have found new techniques that are actually quite fun! These last three pictures were provoked by a book series and reading too many tutorials. Each of these pictures is a name, and each also is supposed to represent an element :) The Bayern Books, by Shannon Hale, are where the names are from. Feel free to tell me what you think! (I used brushes, smudge tool, wind filter, differing opacities, bevel and emboss, and different layers. As well as unmentioned other ideas and steps and clicks ;) lol)
