Spring Break in KY

Once again we took our spring break at Granny and Papa's house.  Unfortunately, this year wasn't very warm.  We had a bit of sunshine the first day, and after that it snowed . . . and kept snowing!  We spent most of the week indoors.  Here are some pictures :)

Aly had a sleepover with her friends Priscilla and Noelle.  They had a great time, but I interrupted the fun briefly to drag them outside so I could practice taking pictures with my new flash.   I needed someone to practice on, and they were more than willing. :)

American Girl Store

We stopped by the American Girl store in Boston.  Aly was ecstatic!  She spend over an hour deciding what to get, and looking around was amazing.  These dolls are so intricate :)

Upon sifting through my files, I found this cute picture of Aly's feet.  I didn't like it before, for some reason, but I actually found that it wasn't too bad :)  By changing it to B&W and upping the contrast, it really made a difference in the photo!

Photoshop

I recently have been using Photoshop not only for editing pictures already taken, but for creating new images, and adding new elements to those photographs. I have tried a few online tutorials to get the gist of how some people create digital art on Photoshop, and actually ran across free brushes to download. After I figured out how to do it, I was pretty excited (and now have probably more brushes downloaded than necessary...)

Below are some of my newest Photoshop Works. All three are pictures of Aly taken when she was young, and the photography is Mom's. I love almost any types of wings, and these are my first attempts at using the "Wing brushes" on people. I have been spending quite a bit of time using these new brushes and techniques, and can't wait to try out some more!
