Goofing Off In The Sunshine

A gorgeous day in the midst of April showers!  With temperatures settling around 80 degrees, it was a perfect day for some fun photos.  Sammy and I had a short but semi-professional shoot (which may have turned out a bit great, thank God for that Magnolia tree!)  Madi and I took turns with my nice DSLR until the battery was nigh dead and we were hot and sweaty.  We finished our outdoor session with My Little Pony and Popsicles and Ice Cream!

Cornstarch.  Water.  Mix until mixture is oozy and liquidy when you slide your hand in, but rock hard when you bang on the mixture.  Simple.  Messy.  FUN.

December 22

We had our annual Christmas get-together with our friends!  We always enjoy this time together, and giving each other presents.  This year we decided to do a Progressive Brunch.  We started with Mrs. Robin and ended at our house, eating a little bit at each stop.  It was delightful!  I took lots of pictures, and so did other people!  Warning - picture heavy post.

Mr. Greg made these stained glass stars! Beautiful!  Mom obviously loves it.  Dad does too...but I believe he and Lewis were talking about the dangers of using them as throwing stars... -.-

This year we wrapped presents in brown paper and  made tags to go with them.  This was one of the gifts mom brought to each house :)

18th Birthday Party

Since my friends and myself were busy on my actual birthday, we decided to get together for cake the Saturday before.  Friday night Calleigh, Toria, Elizabeth, and I had a sleepover, followed by a lovely trip to the Renaissance Festival!  We then picked up Riley and an icecream cake to take back to my house for a quick birthday "party." (I still had my elf ears on from the Ren Fest -.- ) Most of us had dinner plans, so we had to consume the cake quickly and head out the door again.  It was lovely to have my close friends there to celebrate with me ^_^
