Until the Death

How can I show my friend
What, to me,
Has always been so simple;
I need you.
But you're not by my side
A this moment
And such has caused my heart
To bleed
Because I miss you
Love you
Need you
And you have told me
I am needed
So do not fear;
You reside
In my prayers
My thoughts
My heart
Forever
And I will be there for you
Until the death.

Photoshop

I recently have been using Photoshop not only for editing pictures already taken, but for creating new images, and adding new elements to those photographs. I have tried a few online tutorials to get the gist of how some people create digital art on Photoshop, and actually ran across free brushes to download. After I figured out how to do it, I was pretty excited (and now have probably more brushes downloaded than necessary...)

Below are some of my newest Photoshop Works. All three are pictures of Aly taken when she was young, and the photography is Mom's. I love almost any types of wings, and these are my first attempts at using the "Wing brushes" on people. I have been spending quite a bit of time using these new brushes and techniques, and can't wait to try out some more!

Inner Justice

My heart is melting
Deflating
As salty water hits it
Spilled
From my eyes.
My spirit sighs
It is consumed
By inner cries
For though
I place a mask upon my face
Hoping
I have hidden my distress
Covered
M inward aching
I don a docile drape
But inside
My heart is screaming.
This is unfair!
But, alas,
So it seems life can be.
Does justice
Have no place
In reality?

Sparkles

I thought I would post these pictures of my cat. I had the sudden urge to clean my desk the other day, and he decided to help. If you can't tell by the pictures, this is what happened; I opened a desk drawer, and while I was doing something else he climbed inside it. I smiled at him, then watched as he promptly climbed behind the drawer. Yes, behind it, so he was sort of under my desk. He used to do this when he was younger...he's grown since then ;) I had to completely empty the desk drawer before he would get out of it (I wasn't going to wait an hour for him to realize he could get out since he got in.) Well, that is all; enjoy ;)

Digital Editing

Here is one of my more recent photoshop projects. It was part of Mom's Christmas present, so I couldn't post it right after I made it. I blended these two pictures together into one to be framed. I thought the black and white gave the collaboration a more sophisticated look :)

Video Editing :)

Alright! So, did I mention my new Christmas "toy"? :D I have received a video camera, AND a video editing program! I have attempted a few different things, just for fun, and thought I would at least try to post them here. I have had unfortunate trouble doing this in the past, one of the reasons it has taken me so long to catch up with my blog :(

These two are my fun renditions of a book character, Sapphira Adi :) Nothing spectacular yet, just playing with the different settings and etc. Comments and critiques are most welcome, though...I don't know if I would be able to fix the problem as of yet *blushes* I'm still learning and playing, and hopefully, in the future, I will become better. This is my first month with my editing abilities though, and I'm hoping I'm off to a good start :)

These are both based off books by Bryan Davis, his series Oracles of Fire.

It is Christmas!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Many years my sister and I have each got one large present, or one for us to share. This year, my "big present" was a video camera! I'm definitely looking forward to playing with it and using my new program to create some videos! Hopefully I will be able to upload them here sometime :)

It has been a wonderful day for all of us here; the day (technically) started when I was texting Calleigh at midnight because neither of us were sleeping for excitement. ;)

Well, goodnight to you all! And Merry Christmas!
