Destined, Aprilynne Pike. The conclusion to the Laurel Series. Oh my. I sniffed. I cried. I sobbed. Yet I still love this book series. I couldn't put it down.

Book 28 - Destined
Destined, Aprilynne Pike. The conclusion to the Laurel Series. Oh my. I sniffed. I cried. I sobbed. Yet I still love this book series. I couldn't put it down.
Book 27 - Firelight
Firelight, Sophie Jordan. Very creative. The entire plot and character development were different than what I have read before, and yet still were familiar enough that I felt I could relate in some ways. I am glad I picked up this book, and still find the cover amazing. I so want to try to design something similar! Cover artists are awesome!
Book 26 - The Musicians Daughter
The Musicians Daughter, by Susanne Dunlap, was a very interesting book! It was full of mystery in a historical setting, full of musical implications. I haven't read a mystery in quite a while, and I truly enjoyed it in the time period chosen.

Book 25 - A Heart Most Worthy
A Heart Most Worthy, Siri Mitchell. Another historical novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. Quite a bit about lovely dresses, inner strength, and loving one other. Siri Mitchell may be my favorite Christian Historical Literature author. I just discovered her books this year and am falling in love with them.
Book 24 - I Was Jane Austen's Best Friend
I Was Jane Austen's Best Friend, Cora Harrison. What a neat book! I had fun reading this, it was quite enjoyable and I do adore the Regency time period. I also love Jane Austen, so this turned out to be quite a nice book :)

Sparkles is under the tree! It must be warm with the tree skirt and all of the presents. |
Toby came to visit! He looks worn out already <3 |
My Rapunzel ornament from Elizabeth. The one from mom is in the background. ^_^ |
Aly made this! |
Book 23 - Steel
Steel, by Carrie Vaughn. It was a very good book. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but found the ending rather sad. It had quite an interesting plot, which kept me reading. A Pirate book :)
December 22
We had our annual Christmas get-together with our friends! We always enjoy this time together, and giving each other presents. This year we decided to do a Progressive Brunch. We started with Mrs. Robin and ended at our house, eating a little bit at each stop. It was delightful! I took lots of pictures, and so did other people! Warning - picture heavy post.

Mr. Greg made these stained glass stars! Beautiful! Mom obviously loves it. Dad does too...but I believe he and Lewis were talking about the dangers of using them as throwing stars... -.- |
This year we wrapped presents in brown paper and made tags to go with them. This was one of the gifts mom brought to each house :) |
Book 22 - The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games, Suzanne Collins. The book everyone has been talking about. I finally read it. And found it amazing and inspiring. Self sacrifice, standing up for what is right, and making a difference.
December 21
December 20th was the other day I missed taking a picture on, so here is a photo from the 21st
The first real snowfall of the season! Also the first day of winter. This was the day the world was supposed to end, according to the Mayans. Obviously it didn't... ;)
Book 21 - Juliet
Juliet, a novel, Anne Fortier. Wow. This book was amazing. It was a page turning without a doubt, so much intrigue. I didn't know what was coming next! I especially enjoyed reading this after having read the original Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. I already own this book, and found it immensely enjoyable. However, mild language was to be found throughout the entire book, and one of the characters was to be found a bit crude, or perhaps crass. A few scenes were uncomfortable, but they were neither long nor full of much detail. It was correctly labeled adult, and isn't for younger audiences. The entirety of the plot is thoroughly amazing, and one I would like to read again.
Book 20 - A Kiss in Time
A Kiss in Time, Alex Flinn. One of the many books I picked up at the library, this one turned out be one I enjoyed tremendously. I found this take on Sleeping Beauty to be delightful! A princess, asleep for three hundred years...waking up in modern day times? Her genuineness and naivety made me able to relate to her.
December 19
A picture of our Christmas box. It is like an advent; every day, leading up to Christmas, there is something in the box!
Rory is helping with some last minute presents!
Book 19 - A Midsummer Night's Dream
A Midsummer Night's Dream, by William Shakespeare. This play was hysterical. Part of that may have been due to the fact that we saw the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company perform it prior to reading the book, but even so, the feel of this play was so light it was an easy read and enjoyable too.
December 18
One of two days I didn't take a picture was the 17th, so we move on the the 18th :)
I got a Rapunzel ornament in the Christmas Box!
